Grounded Reads for Anime Auditions

ABOUT THE CLASS

Students will perform and receive feedback and direction to master techniques for anime auditions. Scripts and class instructions will be provided 1-2 days before the class date.

Students are encouraged to participate from their home studios/use their standard mic setup if available, but it's not mandatory for this learning environment.

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Francesca Calo is a Chinese & Spanish Actor and Director who spent her childhood on film and television sets. She began her studies of the performing arts at the age of seven at the Academy of Dramatic Arts, and has since enthusiastically followed her passion. She studied and performed with theaters such as the Moscow Art Theatre Company, New York Stage & Film, as well as with acclaimed international director Adolf Shapiro. Her voice work spans across animation and video games, including Pokemon (Disney XD), Boy, Girl, Dog, Cat, Mouse, Cheese (Cartoon Network), Path to Nowhere, and more! Recent directing credits include: My Oni Girl (Netflix), The Lonely Castle in the Mirror (GKids), and Kingdom Anime; Season 3 (Crunchyroll). Materials provided in these classes (such as sides, copy, worksheets, videos, etc.) are for educational/workshop purposes only. They are confidential and are NOT to be distributed outside of this workshop (including, but not limited to, email, social media, Discord servers, etc.) nor permitted to be used as voice demo material unless otherwise stated.

RECORDING POLICY
