About the event

The world of digital art can be intimidating at times, but if you break down the process into little pieces, anyone can do it!

Join indie game artist Radiant G as he demonstrates how to create 2D digital art for indie games via drawing fan art of a fun, loveable, simple, and recognizable character... Kirby! This art workshop will be done in InkScape, which is a free, open source vector-based program. The class will teach students how to create colorful and eye-catching vector art optimal for making 2D indie games, merch pieces, or animation. Every student will leave the class having made their very own Kirby by the end.

Students will need a working keyboard and mouse (preferred over a trackpad) and InkScape (free): https://inkscape.org/

If students opt in, Radiant will also share them in a colorful Kirby collage on his social media, tagging all of the artists involved. Artists of all skill levels are welcome, but it does help if you have a bit of art experience going in, whether traditional or digital.
