About the event
ABOUT THE CLASS
Students will receive an opportunity to work on and expand their range by playing with different characters during the workshop. Kirsty will offer feedback and redirection. Materials provided one day prior to class.
Students are encouraged to participate from their home studios/use their standard mic setup if available, but it's not mandatory for this learning environment.
ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Kirsty Gillmore (she/her) is a creative freelance Voice & Performance Director and Casting Director. She has directed and cast for over 50 game titles, including Baldur’s Gate 3 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as well as animation and audio drama/podcast projects, working with studios and actors all over the world. Other credits include Destruction AllStars, theHunter: Call of the Wild series, Synapse, LiveALive, upcoming titles Luna Abyss and The Quiet Things and animated series Shasha & Milo. She is the creator and teacher of the UK’s first full-length Acting for Video Games undergraduate course, at the Institute for Contemporary Theatre (UK), and has directed and taught at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She has been a speaker and panellist for GDC, GameSoundCon, One Voice Conference and BAFTA, and in 2021 she was selected for the prestigious BAFTA Breakthrough programme as a Voice Director for Games.
