About the event

ABOUT KATIE

Katie Sikkema is a freelance consultant who spent 15 years working at SAG-AFTRA. As a former Senior Lead Business Representative in the Voiceover Department, she facilitated the development of a Low Budget Interactive Agreement for independent games and helped new developers to make their projects union. She also administered the Dubbing Agreement, as well as signing Theatrical films ranging in scale from short Student Films to major studio franchises. She has a degree from Emerson College in Theatrical Production and Design, and combines her diverse artistic background with her love of video games and ability to make sense of legal jargon to help producers learn how to hire performers for work in video games of all kinds and sizes.

Katie is now available as a consultant and advisor to help developers and producers manage their relationships with the union. Her decade-plus years of experience can help you make the best decisions for your project, facilitate conversations with the union, understand how union contract language applies to your situation, and get your paperwork filled out correctly to streamline your signatory experience.
